Dweebs dressed up? Geeks in costume? To those who voiced their opinion, thank you, your thoughts have been duly acknowledged, noted and filed in the GTFO.
To all those willing to look beyond the spiked DBZ hair and the shiny, imitation Little Mermaid tails – Welcome to Creative, Interactive Character Assessment… or as I like to call it, CIC-ASS! (Get it, Kick-Ass! lololololololol…. anyways moving on).
In our gaudy dress and over-acted drama we’re seeking to understand our chosen character and the aspects of their creation that come through in animation for our interpretation.
How do they walk? How do they talk? Eat? Sleep? Sit? Are they active? Are they romantic? Do they dance? Sing? Snore? Are their movements realistic? Or not? Can they be imitated by a person? And most importantly, Why?
And how these shapes, lines and patches of colour are brought to life and given personality with nothing more than animation and audio technique.
To keep some form of order, we’ve organized this group for one day a week and selected only one animated show to imitate per week (chosen by vote to be fair).
Participants are encouraged, but not required, to write a short blog about their day as [insert name here] and why they think their characters animation works well with their design and personality.
Curious? Come say HI THERE to me (Icy), Salvarez, Matt, Jackson or Scheree and prepare to look AWESOME – for the greater good :D
NEXT WEEK IS ONE PIECE. Repeat costumes aren’t advised so please come and talk to the group and see who isn’t taken. PHOTOS ENCOURAGED!
